NYSC Urges Corps Members to Apply for Tony Elumelu Foundation Grant

The NYSC has urged corps members to seize the incredible opportunity offered by the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Grant.

This grant program empowers aspiring African entrepreneurs with the resources they need to launch and grow their businesses. Renowned as a leading force in improving African entrepreneurship, the Tony Elumelu Foundation champions both men and women.

Their mission is bold: to drive economic growth, eradicate poverty, and create a wave of job creation across the continent. “Africa’s private sector holds the key to unlocking sustainable development, both socially and economically,” emphasizes the Tony Elumelu Foundation.

NYSC went beyond simply promoting the Tony Elumelu Foundation grant. They also reminded corps members to take full advantage of the in-house Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program. This program is designed to equip young people with valuable vocational skills, empowering them to become self-reliant after their service year.

As the NYSC management emphasizes, “Corps members can gain skills during camp and continue training post-camp to further establish their abilities.” NYSC understands that a supportive network is crucial for entrepreneurial success. They’ve built strong partnerships with organizations like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Bank of Industry (BOI), Unity Bank, Access Bank, and the NNPC Foundation. These partnerships offer valuable loans and grants specifically designed to help young entrepreneurs launch their businesses.

By combining the Tony Elumelu Foundation grant with NYSC’s training and support network, corps members are well-equipped to become the driving force behind Africa’s economic transformation. One business at a time, they can build a brighter future for themselves and the continent!
