Calling for Applications : African Development Bank (AfDB)’s Capacity Building Workshop for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)

The African Development Bank’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab (The Lab), in partnership with the European Commission and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), has launched a training workshop aimed at bolstering innovation and entrepreneurship within African higher education institutions (HEIs).

The initiative, titled ‘Leveraging Research, STEM, Business Management and Training Capabilities of HEIs and Research Centres for Strengthening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem,’ seeks to empower African HEIs to become more effective catalysts for entrepreneurship by sharing proven strategies and fostering cross-regional collaboration.

The project will equip HEIs with the tools and knowledge necessary to nurture a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem across the African continent.

Categories of training

1. Higher education institutions (HEIs) who want to establish enterprise support organizations (incubators, accelerators, incubation/innovation hubs, research centers) and activities within their institutions.

2. Higher education institutions (HEIs) with enterprise support organizations or research centers aiming to strengthen and expand their initiatives.
