First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has taken a significant step to support women-owned businesses in Nigeria by launching the Fempreneur Accelerator program. This initiative, part of the bank’s SheVentures program, is designed to provide comprehensive support to Women Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs).
By partnering with Shecluded, a leading organization for women entrepreneurs, FCMB aims to address the specific challenges faced by female business owners in Nigeria.
Shecluded is a female-focused finance and capacity-building company on a mission to unlock economic prosperity for African female entrepreneurs.

Since they started in 2019, they have trained over 50,000 women across 4 African countries, disbursed over $2m to women in business and their co-working space is home to over 1000 women annually.
FCMB’s collaboration with SHEcluded will provide WSMEs with the necessary financial resources, business skills, and networking opportunities to thrive.
This program will directly benefit 350 women entrepreneurs by providing them with essential tools and resources. These women will receive training in crucial areas like financial management and business planning.
Additionally, the program will connect them with potential funding sources, helping them secure the capital they need to grow their businesses.By addressing the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, FCMB aims to level the playing field and empower women to achieve their full potential.
