Chowdeck records more than N30 billion worth of deliveries in 2024

Chowdeck, a popular food delivery service in Nigeria, has achieved a significant milestone in 2024. The company announced that its total deliveries have exceeded N30 billion. This impressive figure showcases Chowdeck’s rapid growth and increasing popularity in the Nigerian food delivery market.

Note that earlier on this year, Chowdeck, received a significant financial boost. The company secured $2.5 million in seed funding to support its operations and expansion. This investment round, reported by Nairametrics in April, attracted notable investors like Y Combinator, Goodwater Capital, and FounderX Ventures.

Additionally, prominent figures from the global tech and delivery industry, such as the co-founders of Rappi and Paystack, also participated in the funding.

The recent funding has been crucial for Chowdeck’s continued growth. It has enabled the company to strengthen its market leadership in existing cities and prepare for expansion into new markets within Nigeria.

He emphasized the company’s substantial expansion, highlighting that Chowdeck now has more than one million registered users. Aluko is one of the entrepreneurs leading the transformation of Nigeria’s food service industry.

He acknowledged the privilege of serving over 3,000 businesses, 10,000+ riders, and 1 million users across eight Nigerian states. Aluko emphasized that Chowdeck is still in its early stages and is excited about the future opportunities for growth.

Chowdeck’s journey which began in October 2021, during the COVID-19 lockdown in Lagos has rapidly grown and become a major player in Nigeria’s food delivery market. The platform has expanded its services to eight major cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, and Port Harcourt, with a fleet of over 3,000 riders. These riders earn competitive salaries, comparable to those of senior civil servants, highlighting Chowdeck’s positive impact on employment opportunities in Nigeria.

As Chowdeck continues to scale, it aims to become a key player in Nigeria’s evolving food delivery and logistics sector, with ambitious plans for future growth.
