This Internship Program is a key component of the AfDB’s Talent Management Framework, designed to equip young professionals with practical experience and contribute to the Bank’s strategic goals.

Session 1 of the 2025 Internship Program will commence in January 2025.
Key Terms and Conditions
Duration: Internships will last between 3 and 6 months.
Work Arrangements: Interns may work remotely or on-site, depending on the specific needs of the hiring unit. Remote interns must have reliable internet access and a suitable work environment.
Travel and Accommodation: On-site interns are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs.
Visa Support: The Bank will assist interns in obtaining necessary visas.
Medical Insurance: Eligible interns will be provided with health insurance coverage.
Stipend: A monthly stipend will be provided to eligible interns.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the internship program, applicants must:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30.
- Be currently enrolled in a master’s degree program at a recognized institution.
- Be a citizen of an African Development Bank member country.
- Provide proof of enrollment (e.g., a letter from their institution).
- Be fluent in English or French.
- Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
